Australian commercial channel Network Ten has commissioned a 26-part animated comedy from US toon house Foothill Entertainment’s European arm.
Comedy G.U.N.K. Aliens is based on a book series from HarperCollins and follows a boy, his robotic dog and friends, who work for a top secret alien-fighting organisation. Canadian animation veteran Dale Schott the TV scripts.
It is based on visuals from Donnie Anderson and already in pre-production. Coproducers are Foothill’s UK-based prodco Foothill Europe, Moody Street Kids and Gallus Entertainment. Malaysia’s Vision Animation is attached to handle animation production.
“With the fabulous character designs and wacky sense of humour, this series is going to be a lot of fun to work on,” said Foothill’s President, Jo Kavanagh-Payne.
