Entertainment One poaches Shafer from CBS

Entertainment One has hired David Shafer as VP of production at its TV unit. He joins from CBS Television Studios.

Shafer has started at eOne where he is working on the company’s slate of scripted shows including AMC western Hell on Wheels.

At CBS Studios, Shafer was VP of production, working on series including Elementary, 90210 and The Good Wife.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such an exciting and rapidly expanding indie studio,” says Shafer.  “I’m looking forward to jumping right into eOne’s top-scripted programs including season three of Hell on Wheels.”

Shafer reports to Armand Leo, VP, production affairs. Shafer is based in the company’s Los Angeles office while Leo is based in the Toronto office.
