CBS Studios inks Japanese SVOD deal

Programming from CBS Studios International will launch on smartphones and tablets in the Japanese market.

The distributor has extended the scope of an existing deal with Japan’s Avex Entertainment and will make its series available on UULA, a mobile video-on-demand service operated jointly by Avex and mobile telco Softbank.

Titles include NCIS (pictured), NCIS: Los Angeles, 90210, Star Trek, Star Trek: Enterprise and Medium.
