Viewster inks indie films deal
Over-the-top video provider Viewster has struck deals with three independent film aggregators to bring over 20 new movie titles to its site.
Viewster has agreed with independent film groups KinoNation, Renderyard and Moviehouse Entertainment to stream titles including New York Independent Film Festival Award winner Dos, Academy Award-winning Shine and Shadow of the Vampire, starring Willem Dafoe and John Malkovich, to its advertising-supported service.
Switzerland-based Viewster offers about 5,000 titles in 120 countries on its free, ad-supported VOD service.
“We’re proud to feature festival films that have never been shown in cinemas or home entertainment before, like the double winner of the New York International Independent Film Festival Dos,” said Kai Henniges, CEO of Viewster. “This is a significant addition to Viewster’s already impressive independent film library that is available to Viewster’s users and visitors around the globe at the simple push of a button.”
