News brief: NBCU, M-Net buy MarVista movies

NBCUniversal and South Africa’s M-Net have acquired telemovies from MarVista Entertainment.

NBCU has licensed romantic comedy Today’s Special and teen thriller Circle of Lies for its UK channels business, and holiday-themed feature Oh Christmas Tree for multiple territories.

Subscription cable network M-Net has acquired teen drama Pop Star, romantic comedy Language of a Broken Heart and Love for Christmas, as well as Today’s Special, Circle of Lies and Oh Christmas Tree.

All the titles are 1x90mins.
