RTL welcomes The Audience

Germany’s RTL has commissioned a local version of UK format The Audience.
ITV Studios Germany will produce the 4×46′ series, which comes from UK indie The Garden (One Born Every Minute, 24 Hours in A&E). It will debut on March 27 and be known as Die Zuschauer.
The deal follows on from others in Norway, where ITV Studios Nordic is creating a version for TV3, and Hungary, where Papriko Latino is working on one for Viasat 3. The format was originally created for the UK’s Channel 4 and is now in production in seven territories overall.
The Audience sees a person with a life-changing decision to make turn to an audience of 50 people, who use their collective wisdom to decide on the best route forward.
