UK digital channel Yesterday has bought Black Ops, a 6x50mins series about special forces.
The World Media Rights-produced series is sold by IMG Entertainment.
The series studies special forces operations including the Moscow theatre siege, The Hunt for Abdul Musab Al-Zarqawi, Operation Black Tornado following the Mumbai terror attacks and 2011’s Operation Neptune Spear to eliminate Osama Bin Laden.
“The series will appeal to our core audience, as well as making the channel more accessible and compelling to a wider and younger audience. It also fits perfectly into Yesterday’s brand and channel proposition,” said UKTV acquisitions executive Emma Sparks.
