NATPE News: Nick launches branded blocks across Lat-Am
Viacom is rolling out branded Nickelodeon blocks on free-to-air broadcasters in Latin America.
The kids blocks will launch on Brazilian free-to-air broadcaster TV Bandeirantes and its free-to-air counterparts in Chile and Venezuela, UCTV and Canal 12.
In Brazil, Band will get Nick shows including of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as Supah Ninjas.
A two-year deal with UCTV sees the Chilean broadcaster take Dora The Explorer, Team Umizoomis and Bubble Guppies for its branded Nick block.
Canal 12 has concluded a three-year deals with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), which operates the international Nickelodeon channels, and will have Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob Squarepants among other Nick shows.
VIMN also concluded a three-year branded block deal with Panama’s TVN-2, which gets shows including Big Time Rush, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Kung Fu Panda, Penguins of Madagascar, and Tuff Puppy.
Separately, VIMN said it had inked carriage deals for its Nicktoons channel with Mexican cable operators Cablevision and Megacable.
