NATPE says buyer attendance hits 1,000
Ahead of the NATPE market in Miami next week, organisers have said 1,000 buyers have registered. That represents a 22% year-on-year increase, as of last week, a spokesman told TBI.
They added that there has been a double-digit percentage increase in delegate numbers this year.
The market runs January 28 -30 at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach.
The single most important ingredient for a vibrant market is the number of qualified buyers that attend,” NATPE boss Rod Perth recently told TBI. He noted an uptick in buyer attendance from India, Australia and Asia in general.
Perh added that 27 of the market’s 300 exhibitors are attending NATPE for the first time in 2013.
He added: “We invested a lot on research last year and have adapted the way we do things. Improvements include a new state-of-the-art NATPE App and a new concierge service called NATPE Navigator which will launch at NATPE Budapest [the new name for recently acquired programme market DISCOP East].”
