Sangeeta Desai joins FremantleMedia from Hit

Producer and distributor FremantleMedia has hired Sangeeta Desai as chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

She joins from kids producer and distributor Hit Entertainment where she was COO. Prior to that she was at private equity firm and Hit-backer Apax and has also worked at investment banks Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.

At FremantleMedia she will oversee the company’s corporate, financial and legal affairs. Based in London, she will report to Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of FremantleMedia, and will sit on the company’s board.
