Spike TV offers $10m to find Bigfoot

US cable network Spike TV is offering a $10 million prize to anyone who finds Bigfoot in its new reality series 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty.

The Viacom-owned broadcaster has teamed with Lloyd’s of London, who will underwrite the amount, to offer the largest cash prize in television history.

The show is latest Bigfoot discovery series following the launch of Animal Planet’s Ping Pong-produced Finding Bigfoot.

10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty is produced by Charlie Corwin’s Original Media, the Endemol-owned producer of series including Swamp People and Ink Master. It will be exec produced by Corwin, Michael Riley and The Amazing Race producer Jon Kroll.

The show will cast a series of scientists, zoologists, seasoned trackers, and actual Bigfoot hunters who are searching for the ape like sasquatch.

The series was commissioned by Sharon Levy, executive vice president, original series, Spike TV and Tim Duffy, senior vice president, original series, Spike TV.
