NBC cancels Animal Practice
NBC has cancelled workplace comedy Animal Practice, making it the third high profile network series to be cut this year.
It follows the cancellation of Sony Pictures Television’s CBS series Made In Jersey and NBC Universal’s Dane Cook-fronted Next Caller, which was cancelled before it aired.
Animal Practice, which starred Justin Kirk and Crystal The Monkey, aired four episodes and despite recording 12.8 million viewers for its pilot episode, which aired during the Olympics, lost viewers and its fourth episode was watched by less than 4 million viewers.
However, it will now be replaced by the new season of Whitney Cummings’ comedy Whitney.
