Gordon Ramsay continues to travel across Lat-Am
Gordon Ramsay continues to make his way across Latin America after Optomen International secured deals for four of his series in the region.
Optomen International, the global sales arm of the All3Media-owned producer, has closed deals for The F Word, Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell and Ultimate Cookery Course.
Fox Latin America has acquired 33 hours of Ramsay content including series five of Kitchen Nightmares USA, Gordon Ramsay’s Ultimate Cookery Course: 100 Recipes to Stake Your Life On, and latest Ramsay series Hotel Hell.
BBC Worldwide Channels relicensed the first three series of The F Word as well as the first four series of Kitchen Nightmares.
Caroline Stephenson, director of sales for Optomen International, said: “Latin America and the US Hispanic market have a real appetite for Gordon’s finished shows — his passion for food, cooking and life in general plays well with Latin American audiences. Looking forward, I believe we will see a boom in format sales to Latin America as the demand escalates for high quality entertainment with a local flavour.”
Additionally, the company has sold new factual entertainment series Kick-Ass Kung-Fu to Nat Geo Mundo for the US Hispanic market. The series, which stars Shaolin Kung Fu master Matthew Ahmet, will be launched at MIPCOM.
