African broadcaster M-Net has acquired over 200 episodes of US talk show The Steve Harvey Show after striking a deal with distributor Endemol.
This comes ahead of MIPCOM, where the international company will be shopping the NBC series to international networks.
Electronic Media Network’s M-Net Channel has acquired three series of the recently launched show, which is produced by Endemol USA.
Tracey Gilchrist – Programme Executive: Series and Action Channel, Electronic Media Network, comments: “M-Net is proud to have The Steve Harvey Show in its territory. Steve Harvey is known in Africa for his humorous take on various topics and for telling it like it is. This is what adds a little bit of magic in the minds and hearts of our viewers. “
The deal was negotiated by Emma McCaughey and Claire Jago of Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
