Armando Nuñez becomes president of CBS’ distribution operations
Armando Nuñez has been made president of CBS Global Distribution Group, the content sales unit that will now cover distribution of the studio’s content.
The CBS Global Distribution Group that will be helmed by Nuñez is a new streamlined unit covering domestic US and international sales helmed by Nunez will handle distribution to partners in the US and internationally.
John Nogawski, president of CBS Television Distribution, will be leaving the company under the new structure.
CBS said that under Nuñez’s stewardship, its international business now brings in over US$1 billion annually.
As well as content sales, Nuñez has been at the forefront of CBS’ push into channels with joint venture and branded networks now carried in the UK, India, Australia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
