Australia’s ABC launching Cate Blanchett toon at MIPCOM

ABC Commercial, the international arm of the Australian public broadcaster is to launch Cate Blanchett-voiced animated series A Cautionary Tale at MIPCOM.

The distributor will be shopping the 3D animated series to international kids broadcasters at MIP Junior and MIPCOM.

The series, which was chosen as a finalist in the MIP Junior Kids Jury award, is produced by Rawr Films, written by Erica Harrison and directed by Simon Rippingale. It is exec produced by Will Alexander and Renata Cooper.

The series, which also stars David Wenham and Barry Otto alongside Oscar winner Blanchett, tells the story of a girl born with a tail and her adventures with her imaginary friends.
