ABC heads to MIPCOM with new kids and factual series
ABC Commercial, the sales arm of Australian public broadcaster ABC, will launch new kids, cooking and factual shows at MIPCOM
The kids slate include The Adventures of Figaro Pho, a 13x24mins animated comedy series about a quirky character with a multitude of weird and wonderful phobias.
Cooking series includes 13x30mins Thai Street Food with David Thompson, featuring the eponymous Michelin-starred chef as he investigates authentic dishes from Thai streets and markets.
Also eating-related is one-off doc from ABC, Globesity, about the explosion in obesity around the world.
Wildlife programming includes Search for the Ocean’s Super Predator, a one-offdoc about the hunt for a mystery aquatic beast capable of killing the largest great white sharks.
ABC also has a one-hour biopic of Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe, Ian Thorpe: The Swimmer, as he attempts to compete in the Olympics.
