Jeremy Fox out as DRG appoints new boss
Jeremy Fox is leaving as boss of DRG and the UK-based distributor has upped Jonathan Jackson from COO to group managing director.
Anmar Kawash, formerly Chief Operating Officer at STV, will become Chairman of DRG.
Jackson has been at DRG for five years and the company said that he will focus on growing its “digital and IP activities”.
Fox, who created the iconic gameshow Krypton Factor, founded indie producer Action Time. He is one of the founders of DRG and will remain a shareholder in the company.
Jackson has worked at DRG-backer Ingenious as well as UK broadcaster Channel 4 and IP company Chorion.
DRG acquired several other distribution groups in building the business including Portman Film & TV, ID Distribution and Zeal Entertainment. It shops drama, kids, factual and entertainment shows and formats including Doc Martin and Antiques Road Trip.
