Farm Factor makes hay across Europe
Agricultural reality format Farm Factor will be remade in six European territories including the UK after Nordic World struck a raft of deals.
Nordic World has struck a coproduction deal with Sony-owned producer Gogglebox to sell and produce a UK version.
It has also struck deals in France with FremantleMedia, in Germany with Tresor, in Sweden with Shine-owned Meter Television, in Norway with Monster, in Denmark with Mastiff and in Finland with Zodiak.
The show was originally produced by Good Company Productions for Irish broadcaster TG4 and Cwmni Da also developed a version for Welsh-language network S4C.
Nordic World also has deals pending in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
“Farm Factor is a gem of a show. It’s also a great story of a small Welsh indie having the courage to take on an obscure but brilliant format, develop it into an award-winning local hit and take it out into the global marketplace, where I have no doubt it will become a classic. From Nordic World’s perspective, Farm Factor may be Celtic in origin, but it’s the perfect addition to our catalogue of engaging content from some of the best independents in the Nordic region,” says Nordic World chief operating officer and director of sales Jan Salling.
