Israeli’s Viva acquires Telemundo’s Maid in Manhattan
Israeli broadcaster Viva Channel has acquired Maid in Manhattan, the Telemundo-produce novela based on the Jennifer Lopez feature film.
The broadcaster will launch the series later this year after striking the deal with Telemundo Internacional.
Una Maid en Manhattan is a novela based on the movie, which was produced by Revolution Studios. The film starred Lopez as a maid who snares a senatorial candidate. Telemundo’s version, which is coproduced by Sony Pictures Television, follows a maid who moves from Mexico to the United States with her young son and falls in love with a millionaire.
The show stars Litzy, Eugenio Siller and Vanesa Villeland and was produced in Mexico, New York and Miami.
