RelativityREAL developing Act of Valor TV series
RelativityREAL, the television division of Ryan Kavanaugh’s Hollywood studio, is developing a TV remake of its action movie Act of Valor.
This comes a few months after TBI revealed that the company, helmed by chief executive Tom Forman, was looking to aggressively expand into the scripted business and was looking to exploit the intellectual property of its feature slate.
RelativityREAL has partnered with The Bandito Brothers, producers of the movie, which follows a group of US Navy Seals as they hunt down a terrorist. The movie was directed by Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh and written by Kurt Johnstad.
This is the second movie-to-television series from the company following Catfish, the documentary that has been turned into a series at MTV.
Forman told TBI that it was also looking to turn fantasy feature Immortals, action drama Haywire and Bradley Cooper-fronted Limitless into long running TV series and that it was already working on scripted pilots for Fox and Lifetime.
