MTV to launch Malaysian version of Pimp My Ride
MTV is to launch a local version of reality series Pimp My Ride in Malaysia.
The launch comes after striking the youth entertainment broadcaster struck a sponsorship agreement with mobile telco Celcom Axiata Berhad to offer customers the chance to win a pimped ride.
The show will launch in November.
The Malaysian deal is the latest international format agreement for Pimp My Ride, which has been made locally across Europe in the UK, Germany and Italy as well as in the Middle East and Brazil.
“MTV and Xpax have a long standing successful relationship, and Pimp My Ride Malaysia perfectly demonstrates how we can work with a client to provide exciting one-of-a-kind customised opportunities. Xpax winners will be blown away by their vehicle makeover experiences and audiences can expect to see amazing drab to fab transformations of these vehicles in the show,” said Vishal Kurien, VP, advertising sales, MTV SEA.
