Univision to launch local version of Dori’s Wrong Numbers
Spanish language broadcaster Univision is to remake Dori Media gameshow Wrong Numbers.
The broadcaster is to launch a local version of the format for its Puerto Rican network TeleIsla Canal 7, that will be produced by La eÑe Consulting.
The show, which was originally created by Tanin Productions, follows a random pedestrian who is asked to call the content in his mobile phone that he least wants to talk to. Subsequently, the two people must firstly work together to accumulate a cash prize before competing against each other to win it.
This is the latest international deal for the format, which was also picked up by Brazilian broadcaster SBT.
Nadav Palti, president and CEO of Dori Media Group, said: “We are delighted with the sale of our game format Wrong Numbers and are pleased that it will enter a new market with La eÑe Consulting and will be aired on such a highly-regarded Puerto Rican TV channel as Teleisla Canal 7. We have no doubts that the originality and the trivia of this new game show will prove to be a success in Puerto Rico, as well as in many other countries.”
