Blinkbox adds more content with TVF deal
British digital platform Blinkbox is continuing to strike more content deals with the acquisition of 53 hours from factual distributor TVF. This follows yesterday’s announcement of a deal for 25 hours from Electric Sky and its recent landmark deal with HBO.
The Tesco-owned service has picked up series including Pushing The Limits, which follows Britain’s world wheelchair tennis champion Mark Eccleston, Grayson Perry-fronted doc Why Men Wear Frocks and long running series Sex and Shopping.
“With the arrival of several online content providers in the UK and Europe, the market in this area is expanding rapidly. TVF International is excited to be part of that change and we are delighted to be partnering with Blinkbox, it is a perfect way to reach out to fast expanding revenue generating audiences who are at ease with accessing content over digital platforms,” says Alex Shawcross, head of business affairs and online, TVF International.
