ITV cuts international deals for Come Date with Me
ITV Studios has inked deals for several local versions of its Come Date With Me format.
The producer and distributor has sold the format into Sweden, Canada, Ukraine and Latvia. These deals follow the earlier news that a local version of the show has been ordered by Australian free-to-air broadcaster Network Ten.
ITV Studios Nordic will make the Swedish version for Viasat and the Ukrainian and Latvian versions will be made by local producers. ITV said that negotiations for the format are currently taking place in multiple other territories.
The show was originally commissioned by Channel 4 in the UK. The format uses elements from hit cooking competition series Come Dine With Me and weaves them into a dating format, with suitors wooing potential dates in their own home.
Paul Buccieri, Managing Director ITV Studios International and CEO ITV Studios America said: “Come Date With Me brings a fresh and interesting twist to the world of dating. We’re delighted that these broadcasters have recognized the appeal of the show.”
