Iron Maiden shows travel as DCD announces post MIPTV sales

UK-based distributor DCD Media has announced a raft of post-MIPTV sales including several deals for its Iron Maiden programming.

HBO Latin America has acquired a documentary about the heavy metal band’s recent world tour, Iron Maiden: Behind the Beast. AXS TV (formerly HD Net), meanwhile, has taken DCD-distributed Iron Maiden Live Concert EN VIVO! Live At Estadio Nacional, Santiago for the US and Canada.

DCD also announced several other MIPTV sales of factual programming. It has shopped 20x60mins series Coast Guard Alaska to Danish pubcaster DR and Tele 5 in Poland.

Other deals included She-Wolves: England’s Early Queens to Viasat (Scandinavia and Eastern Europe), SBS (Australia) and Foxtel (Australia), and The Many Lovers of Jane Austen to Viasat (Scandinavia and Eastern Europe), Knowledge Network (Canada), TVO (Canada), ABC (Australia), Foxtel (Australia), APT (USA) and Sky (New Zealand).

Discovery Networks UK has also acquired observational doc series Vet School for its UK channel Animal Planet.
