Epix preps 50 Foot Cheerleader and Shatner Star Trek doc
Epix has unveiled an original programming slate that includes a new 3D Roger Corman TV movie and a William Shatner documentary project.
The Viacom, Paramount and MGM-backed US cable network’s new original programming will debut this summer and fall alongside movies from its owners including Hugo and Super 8.
Roger Corman’s Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader in 3D is an update to the movie producer’s first 3D film of the same name.
The other original TV movie on Epix’s slate is A Liar’s Autobiography – The Untrue story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman, which relays the life story of the member of the famous comedy troupe.
Two documentaries are included in the roster of new shows. William Shatner’s Get a Life! about the legion of obsessive Star Trek fans. It also has Flight 800: A 14-Year Investigation Cracks the Case, about the TWA plane that exploded over the Atlantic.
Other Epix originals include a Jim Norton comedy special, Jim Norton: Please be Offended.
