MTV’s Jersey Shore to be remade in France
French DTT broadcaster NT1 is to remake MTV’s hit reality series Jersey Shore in France after striking a deal with Viacom International Media Networks.
Separately, parent network TF1 has acquired the finished tape of the series.
NT1 has acquired the format option for France and will look to adapt the series locally. It struck the deal with Caroline Beaton, senior VP, international programme sales, VIMN.
This comes ahead of the keynote session at MIPTV, hosted by TBI deputy editor Peter White, with Beaton, MTV executive vice president of programming and head of production Chris Linn and Jersey Shore cast members Vinny and Deena.
