SevenOne snaps up Reno-fronted crime drama

German distributor SevenOne International has struck a deal to distribute Atlantique Productions’ English-language crime drama Le Grand starring Leon’s Jean Reno.

The series, which is produced by Law & Order’s René Balcer, is the first series to be shot in France but produced entirely in English. The 8x1hour show has been commissioned by French commercial broadcaster TF1.

Le Grand follows police detective Joachim “Jo” Legrand aka Le Grand as he tries to solve crime in iconic Paris locations such as Notre Dame, the Catacombs, the Place de la Concorde Obelisk and the Opera.

Reno will attend MIPTV in Cannes to help SevenOne International sell the series to international broadcasters.
