Electus brings Elle Macpherson to Cannes
Ben Silverman’s Electus is heading to Cannes with Elle Macpherson to talk about its latest network series Fashion Star.
Macpherson is hosting the keynote session at MIPTV about Fashion Star with Electus founder and chairman Silverman and CEO Chris Grant. TBI deputy editor Peter White is moderating the panel discussion at 12:20pm on Monday April 2.
Electus International, the global sales arm of the company run by John Pollak, will be selling the tape and format of the series, which airs on NBC.
The distributor will also be bringing a raft of third party product to the market; it will be selling CMT’s My Big Redneck Vacation, TLC’s Hook, Line & Sisters, Discovery’s Fight Quest and Xtreme Martial Arts and GSN’s Improv-A-Ganza.
Electus is also moving into kids TV for the first time with the distribution of The Hub’s musical competition series Majors & Minors. The series, which is aimed at 10-16 year olds, sees competitors mentored by stars including Will.I.Am, Avril Lavigne and Brandy.
“We are thrilled to bring to market such wide ranging content from some of the biggest broadcasters in the US including NBC, Discovery, TLC, Spike, TBS, CMT and GSN to name a few,” said Pollak.
