ABC heads to MIP with Mongolian rap doc

MIPTV always throws up a few surprises but not many buyers will be expecting a longform documentary about Mongolian rap music from the sales arm of Australian public broadcaster ABC.

ABC Commercial is bringing one-off doc Mongolian Bling to the market, a look at the power of hip hop in the country and about how a group of young rappers are changing the country’s identity.  

The international arm of the network, which is run by Mia Lamb, is distributing a number of documentaries in Cannes including current affairs title Dicing with Debt, arts doc Life in Movement, which follows dancer Tanja Liedtke, adventure feature Baseclimb 3: No Ceiling, ob-doc The Life Series and 8x28mins religious doc Hospital Chaplains.
