MTV closes live action deals
Viacom International Media Networks has closed a number of international free-to-air deals for its live action kids series Victorious and Big Time Rush.
This comes after the global sales arm of the US broadcaster, formerly known as MTV International Programme Sales, sold the two shows to UK free-to-air commercial broadcaster ITV.
Network Ten (Australia), ORF (Austria), DR (Denmark), Globo (Brazil), Vrak (Canada), Telenica (Nicaragua), Venevision (Venezuela), Montecarlo TV (Uruguay) and Fiji Broadcasting have all acquired Victorious.
Meanwhile, TVE (Spain), Teletica (Costa Rica), Telenica (Nicaragua), RTM (Malaysia) and Fiji Broadcasting have bought Big Time Rush, which was produced in association with Sony Music.
The second season of True Jackson VP has been picked up by Mediaset (Italy), Venevision and Telenica, while iCarly has been bought by Network Ten and Venevision as well as Spain’s TVE, which has licensed the show until 2016.
