ABC developing ITV’s White Van Man
US network ABC is developing a series based on ITV Studios’ British comedy format White Van Man.
The broadcaster is working with ITV Studios America to develop a US version of the series, which originally aired on BBC Three.
This is the latest US deal that the international arm of the British commercial broadcaster has signed following NBC’s remake of Prime Suspect, Buried Treasure with Fox and Speed Network’s My Ride Rules.
The US version of White Van Man will be written by My Name Is Earl exec producer Bobby Bowman and will be produced by ABC Studios and The Mark Gordon Company.
The series, which was originally written by Adrian Poynton, follows a man who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family business.
