ProSiebenSat.1 strikes Disney digital deal

German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has struck a deal with Disney that will see over 500 new titles added to its Maxdome video-on-demand service.

The deal, which was struck with Disney Germany, will see a raft of kids and family programming from the Disney Channel as well as a number of feature films featured on the online video rental service.

Titles includes live action series Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place as well as animated series Handy Manny and feature film Pirates of the Caribbean – On Stranger Tides.

Christoph Bellmer, chairman of the management board of Maxdome, said: “The agreement with Disney represents an important strategic step for us. It will allow us to further expand our portfolio with high-quality children´s programming and feature films.”
