RHI poaches Tandem’s Schwab

US TV movies and mini-series producer and distributor RHI Entertainment has poached Tandem Communications sales exec Bernhard Schwab to run its sales division.

This follows a number of management changes at RHI Entertainment that saw former Polygram International boss and UK Film Council chairman Stewart Till become co-chief executive alongside former MGM finance executive Mike Corrigan and Lorimar Telepictures co-founder David Salzman.

Schwab, who was sales director at German producer and distributor Tandem Communications, where he oversaw sales for series including Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, will oversee markets including Africa, Benelux, Germany, Greece, Israel and Scandinavia and will share UK sales duties with John Alexander.

“Bernie’s experience and record of success speaks for itself. He further enhances an already strong department and will be a tremendous asset as we expand our European sales and distribution network efforts,” said Till.
