BBC Worldwide cuts Prime deal for Torchwood: Miracle Day

BBC Worldwide has shopped its sci-fi drama series Torchwood: Miracle Day to free-to-air broadcaster Prime, TBIvision has learned.

Kathy Wright, manager of the Kiwi channel, said it will look to get the series on air as soon as possible.

“I’m delighted to be adding this star-studded adventure series to our schedule,” Wright said. “Torchwood: Miracle Day will be a fantastic addition to our primetime programming mix and we will be doing everything we can to bring it to Kiwis’ living rooms as quickly as possible.”

The series, which was written by Russell T Davies (Doctor Who), was produced by BBC Worldwide for BBC Wales, BBC Worldwide and Starz Entertainment.

Worldwide is selling it internationally and has already shopped it to Space in Canada and Singtel in Singapore among others.
