FX picks up ABC, DreamWorks, Canal+ series
The UK FX channel has picked up several big-ticket drama series including DreamWorks’ sci-fi miniseries Taken and Bryan Singer’s (X-Men) Bermuda Triangle miniseries The Triangle.
The pay TV channel has also picked up Braquo, the 8x52mins police drama that aired on Canal+ in France and is directed by French auteur Oliver Marchal. It also has Path to 9/11, a miniseries dramatising events around the 9/11 attacks and which first appeared on US broadcast net ABC.
Fox International Chanel’s FX announced the acquisitions alongside its 2011/2012 line-up of continuing series. These include Falling Skies and Dexter, which are on air at the moment. From next month there will be season four of Burn Notice.
The autumn schedule will include the second season of hit zombie series The Walking Dead as well as a new series of animated show Family Guy.
FX said that its early-2012 schedules will include new seasons of US drama series NCIS, American Dad, True Blood, The Cleveland Show and Eastbound and Down.
