FremantleMedia hires kids exec Berman

FremantleMedia Enterprises has hired Andrew Berman to run international distribution for its nascent kids business.

The international sale arm of RTL-owned FremantleMedia has appointed Berman as vice president, international distribution for Children’s and Family Entertainment. He will report to Sander Schwartz, head of Children’s and Family Entertainment.

FremantleMedia Enterprises launched its kids division in October 2009 with the hire of former Warner Bros and Sony exec Schwartz and has developed and distributed projects including My Babysitter’s A Vampire and Strange Hill High.

Berman was boss at media consultancy ARB International and was previously executive vice president and general manager of Japanese animation producer TMS Entertainment, which produces series including Bakugan and Sonic X.
