Turkey’s ATV to launch You Deserve It

Turkish broadcaster ATV is launching a local version of Dick de Rijk’s gameshow You Deserve It after striking a deal with SevenOne International.

The Turkish commercial station will launch the show later this summer as Sen Hak Ediyorsun. It will be produced by local producer Ay Yapim.

This is the latest format sale by the international arm of German broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1 following deals with US network ABC and Germany’s Sat. 1.

You Deserve It is produced by Red Arrow Entertainment, the content arm of ProSiebenSat.1, and de Rijk, who have signed an overall deal.

The format sees contestants competing for cash prizes, the twist being that the prize is not for themselves, but a friend, relative or associate who deserves the money.

The deal was struck between Bodo Braun, sales director, German-speaking territories and Turkey, SevenOne International and Nilufer Kuyel, format acquisitions manager, ATV.
