Lionsgate eyes new Asia boss following Stuart departure
Lionsgate is looking for a new Asia Pacific sales boss following the departure of Tim Stuart.
This comes as the Mad Men producer and distributor looks to expand its presence in Hong Kong and reduce its presence in Australia, where Stuart is based.
Stuart has worked at Lionsgate for four years and was previously director, Asia Pacific for CBS Paramount. Prior to that he was head of international television at Australian producer and distributor Becker/Dendy.
“We thank Tim for his valuable contribution during his tenure at Lionsgate and look forward to being closer to our clients in Asia from our base in Hong Kong,” said Peter Iacono, managing director, international television, Lionsgate.
In the interim, Amanda Cordner, VP, international, will oversee distribution for Australia and New Zealand; Wendy Reeds will manage sales for Japan and South Korea and Jenny Suen will oversee sales for the rest of Asia.
Lionsgate is currently distributing TV series including Kelsey Grammer-fronted political drama Boss and reality series Nail Files as well movies including The Expendables and Saw 3D.
