All3Media cuts CEE deals ahead of Discop

All3Media International has sold a raft of programming to broadcasters in the Central and Eastern European region ahead of next week’s Discop East market in Budapest.

The distributor has sold Midsomer Murders, one of the most popular programmes exported from the UK, to Russia’s Central Partnership, which handles sales of the show in the country. Central Partnership has previously sold the crime drama in Russia and has relicensed eleven series of the show. It has also shopped it to Latvia for the first time where state broadcaster LTV has picked it up.

In the Czech Republic free-to-air broadcaster FTV has acquired eighty episodes of North One-produced motoring magazine show Fifth Gear.

All3Media also concluded several deals with Polish broadcasters. Puls has bought fact-ent formats Ten Years Younger and Rachel Allens’ Bake! Pay TV channel Canal Plus has picked up Around the World in Eighty Gardens, Wa$ted USA and World Kitchen. Polcast has acquired scripted series Ultimate Force, Outrageous Fortune and Talk to Me as well as fact-ent series I Want My Mummy.

BBC Worldwide’s pay TV channels in Poland have also bought various series including Derren Brown at 30,000 Feet, and Jimmy McGovern’s drama The Accused and the US and UK versions of fact-ent series Undercover Boss.
