LA Screenings 2011: CBS cancels shows
US network CBS has cancelled a raft of last year’s dramas and comedies.
This comes ahead of its Upfronts event, which is held on Wednesday 18 May 2011, where it will announce its new slate of programming for the 2011/12 season.
The broadcaster has cancelled The Defenders, the legal comedy which was produced by CBS Studios and starred Jim Belushi, $#*! My Dad Says, the Warner Bros-produced comedy starring William Shatner, and midseason sitcom Mad Love, which was produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods and Mike & Molly are all expected to be renewed for second seasons and the Criminal Minds spin-off Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior is also expected to return.
