Fox announces 2011-2012 programming line-up
US broadcast network Fox has officially announced its full 2011-2012 programming line-up. New shows include supernatural drama Touch, which sees 24 star Keifer Sutherland return to Fox. The series, from Heroes creator Tim Kring, will go into pilot production next month.
The roster of new shows also includes two family comedies, Family Album and Little in Common.
Single-camera series Family Album stars Mike O’Malley (Glee) and Rachel Harris (The Hangover) and Little in Common has Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine) and Kevin Hart (Death at a Funeral), in a show about families whose live become entangled when their kids play sport together.
Fox has announced a slew of new shows last week ahead of its official Upfront in New York this morning.
These included delayed and much-anticipated Steven Spielberg dinosaur drama Terra Nova. J.J. Abrams’ prison drama Alcatraz also got picked up, as did The Finder, a procedural about an Iraq war vet who finds missing persons.
Comedies announced last week include Zooey Deschanel comedy New Girl and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, a multi-camera show about a pair of single moms.
There is also animated comedy Allen Gregory, voiced by Jonah Hill and about a precocious 7-year old as he starts school.
