Scripps launches close to 50 series
Scripps Network Interactive is launching close to 50 new shows across its bouquet of channels that includes The Food Network, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel and HGTV.
The channel operator, which operates a raft of international channels as well, presented its latest slate to advertising executives that includes a DIY series fronted by Vanilla Ice and a travel series featuring hipster DJ Diplo.
Lifestyle and DIY channel HGTV is launching The Vanilla Ice Project, real estate series Selling LA, Dina’s House Parties which features The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dina Manzo, and My Yard Goes Disney, which sees regular families transform their back gardens into Disney-style theme parks.
The Travel Channel is launching Mancations, Diplo Is Never Going Home and bike messenger series Triple Rush.
Meanwhile The Food Network is launching Have Cake Will Travel, which stars Ashley Vicos; BBQ competition Best In Smoke, Troy Johnston-fronted Crave, spicy series Heat Seekers, Jersey Shore-themed Tough Cookies, Carrie McCully-fronted Chef Hunter, Duff Goldman’s cake series Sugar High, Halloween Wars, adventure series Supersizers, Pioneer Women, which stars food blogger Ree Drummond and a series starring country music star Trish Yearwood.
The Cooking Channel is launching street food series Eat St., dessert series Unique Sweets, The Originals with Emeril, From Spain With Love, Hook, Line & Dinner, a series starring Chinese Food Made Easy host Ching-He Huang, The Perfect 3 and Baking Made Easy starring UK chef Lorraine Pascale.
