NATPE News: Globosat acquires DRG package
Brazilian pay TV broadcaster Globosat has struck a 120 hour volume deal with London-based distributor DRG for a raft of drama and documentary series.
The pay broadcaster, which is owned by Brazilian media giant Organizações Globo, has acquired the first two seasons of BBC legal drama Criminal Justice, Company Pictures’ Joely Richardson-fronted regal drama Wallis & Edward, Sky1’s Feel Films-produced family drama Skellig and BBC-produced Framed, based on Frank Cottrell Boyce’s novel.
The package also includes a raft of documentaries including ITN Productions’ Kate & Wills: A Royal Love Story, Channel 4’s Outline Productions’ Jo Frost Extreme Parental Guidance, two cooking series from Nigella Lawson – Nigella Bites and Nigella Feasts, Stampede Productions’ Hamas: The Untold Story and Darlow Smithson Productions’ Falling Man about 9/11.
