Sky Italia acquires Tornante’s Glenn Martin

Italian pay broadcaster Sky Italia has acquired animated series Glenn Martin DDS from Tornante, the company backed by former Disney boss Michael Eisner.

The deal was struck by Doug Miller, who told TBIvision that it is currently doing the local dubbing and the show will likely air in November or December. It follows deals in the UK with Sky as well as broadcasters in Israel, Australia and Latin America.

The show follows the Martin family, headed by the father, Glenn, a well-meaning, but clueless dentist.

The series is produced by Tornante and has already been sold to Nickelodeon in the US and aired on its Nick at Nite block. It has also been picked up by CityTV in Canada among others.
