DRG closes Renegade deals
BBC Three doc series Cherry Goes… has been sold to a raft of international broadcasters by distributor DRG.
The distributor has sold the Renegade Pictures-produced factual entertainment series to US cable network BBC America, Australian public broadcaster ABC, Norway’s NRK, Denmark’s TV2, Sweden’s TV3, New Zealand’s TV One, Finland’s Nelonen, Iceland’s Skjar Einn and Greece’s ERT.
The programme, which is sold internationally as The Seven Ages Of…, stars Cherry Healey as she goes drinking, dating, getting married and pregnant among other life changes, in a series of documentaries.
Renegade Pictures, which was set up by Alan Hayling, Jon Rowlands and Alex Cooke in June 2006, struck a first look deal with DRG in 2007. The distributor will also sell Renegade’s new Channel 4 commissions Heston’s Mission Impossible and Beeney’s Restoration Nightmare.
