Koops out in Reveille restructure

Mark Koops will leave US producer Reveille as part of a restructure instigated by recently installed Shine Group Americas boss Emiliano Calemzuk.

The new structure, implemented by Calemzuk who joined Shine from Fox last month, sees Howard T. Owens remain as managing director. Robin Ashbrook is promoted from executive producer to the newly-created role of head of non-scripted entertainment, reporting to Owens.

Calemzuk said: “This is a re-structure that will equip Reveille for the next period of its growth. Streamlining Reveille’s management under Howard T. Owens will continue to drive the vibrant pace at which results have grown at Reveille.”

Koops will pursue a new venture ‘to be announced shortly’. Market watchers speculated that he will rejoin fellow Reveille cofounder Ben Silverman in some capacity. Since leaving NBC, Silverman is running a multiplatform production company Electus.
