3DD poaches Zodiak’s Pedreira to head up sales

UK producer and distributor 3DD has hired former Zodiak exec Magdalena Pedreira to beef up its sales division. This follows the departure of Lisette Schlippe to Shine International.

Pedreira, who was previously format sales executive at Zodiak Entertainment and also worked at French producer and distributor Gaumont, joins Zofia Karpinska, who has been made head of sales. This comes as Schlippe joins Shine International as senior sales executive.

Chief executive Dominic Saville told TBIvision: “We’re hoping that [Pedreira’s] experience in different areas will be good for us and that she will have a lot more dynamic role to play.”

3DD has recently been growing its production division. As well as its long running Album Chart Show, which airs on Channel 4, it is coproducing a number of music series and documentaries with the international feed of the Sundance Channel.

It is producing Discovering Lennon, a documentary about the Beatles frontman that coincides with the thirtieth anniversary of his death, as well as a movie series In Conversation for Sky Arts that will include interviews with Terry Gilliam and Ben Kingsley.
