France’s Ampersand moves into Asia

Ampersand, the French documentary producer and distributor, has opened a subsidiary in Asia.

Based in Hong-Kong, the new venture Ampersand Asia is managed by Ampersand’s former international sales manager Teremoana Seguin.

Ampersand said the new unit will aim to develop closer relationships with Asian buyers of documentaries and factual programming with a particular focus on the emerging digital markets sectors.

Besides distribution, the subsidiary might produce or coproduce content locally.
